AC 4004, According to 17th century divine James Ussher, «Archbishop» of Armagh, and Dr. John Lightfoot of Cambridge, the world was created on this day, a Sunday, at 9 a.m. Drs Ussher and Lightfoot were heretics, their math was bad, but their hearts were in the right place! And, beginning tomorrow, I shall place the true Anno Mundi on each of these posts. FYI, AM 7514 began on 1 September 2005 according to Eastern Catholic and Orthodox Tradition.

AD 1295, the «Auld Alliance» treaty was signed by Scottish King John Balliol and Philip IV of France. It fixed the future marriage between King John's son and Philip's niece and guaranteed military assistance if either country were threatened by England. And with a little bit of luck would have kept Scotland Catholic, but John Knox and Bloody Queen Bess too care of that!

AD 1641, Rebellion in Ireland. Catholics, under Phelim O'Neil, rise against the Protestants and massacred men, women and children to the number of 40,000 (some say 100,000). Whilst I cannot condone a massacre, let us not forget the heretic Cromwell's «final solution» to the Irish problem, proposed not long after: to take the Irish to sea in ships, row them out in the ships' boats, behead them and kick their bodies overboard. Just think what he could have done with machine guns or cyanide!The British, as Catholics, and then as heretics did their best to destroy the Irish people!Up Ireland! Restore the High King! (Who by the way is a Catholic living in Portugal).

AD 1694, American colonial forces led by Sir William Phips, fail in their attempt to seize Quebec. And enforce protestantism at bayonet point on the French Catholics. Catholics in the US, I urge you to read the Declaration of Independence! One of the «crimes» of which King George was accused was «abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government....», i.e., he had tried to grant freedom of worship to the Catholics in Quebec.

AD 1983, R+I+P A truck filled with explosives, driven by a Muslim terrorist, crashes into the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon. The bomb kills 237 Marines and injures 80. Almost simultaneously, a similar incident occurs at French military headquarters, where 58 die and 15 are injured. Pray for the souls of these brave defenders of the West and those of all who have died keeping us free from the Islamic hordes for the last 1364 years!

AD 2003, Madame Chiang Kai-shek, widow of the Chinese nationalist leader, died in New York at age 105. She and her husband, methodist heretics, valiantly fought the genocidal murderer Mao Tse-Tung and, at least, kept Taiwan free!
