AD 1066, HM St Edward the Confessor died. His Feast is kept on the 13th of October, his incorrupt body having been solemnly translated on that day in 1163 by St. Thomas of Canterbury in the presence of King Henry II.
AD 1438, His Holiness, Pope Eugenius IV moves council of Basel to Ferrara.
AD 1463, French poet François Villon banished from Paris.
AD 1531, His Holiness, Pope Clement VII forbids English king Henry VIII to re-marry (and to marry his own daughter at that!).
