The Way To Send Off A Warrior
Despite the pagan elements in this presentation (many of the Sioux were Catholic before the council, but the heresy of inculturation has destroyed that!) are a problem, but it would be nice if every Catholic soldier was laid to rest in a comparable way, with a real wake and a full TLM! Pray for this valiant young man's soul. He died in our cause!

I think it's more accurate to say that inculturation has become a heresy. The faith has always adapted its universal truths to the customs and culture of particular peoples.
As an Eastern Catholic, I especially think that it a positive thing. As this website explains:
All the rites of the Catholic Church also hold the same dogmas; they are unequivocally united in faith and moral teachings, for they are all part of one Holy Mother Church. Yet their policies and practices often differ according to custom. This is a good and healthy thing; it shows that the One Truth of God can be celebrated in many different ways by various cultures.
Universal should not mean uniform. But multi-culturalism has indeed perverted an age-old practice, so as to allow pagan elements into creep into the faith; since we can't offend the natives now.
Perun,
Your point is well taken. I, too, am Eastern Rite juridically and I did not mean the organic inculturation, under the guidance of the Holy Ghost, that gave rise to the different Rites of the Church. What I did mean was the heresy of modernist, neo-protestant, neo-pagan political correctness.
