Breaking The Chains

The Social Magisterium teaches the principle that «small is beautiful». The principle of subsidiarity teaches that the smallest unit capable of a job should be allowed to do it and the Church has always encouraged small business, both privately and coöperatively owned. The Organic Consumers Association is asking consumers world-wide to boycott shopping at chain stores between November 13th and the end of this year, and while it might cost a bit more, it would promote a very valuable tenet of the Magisterium.
