There is no feast in the Traditional Universal Calendar for this day. From the Martyrology it is the Feast of Ss Zachary and Elizabeth (Zachary is the name Saint of my oldest son!).

On this day:
AD 1219, The port of Damietta falls to the Crusaders after a siege. And years later St Louis will die there.
AD 1414, Council of Constance (16th ecumenical council) opens. This Council was called to end the Great Schism and dealt a deathblow to the proto-protestant heresy of Conciliarism.
AD 1605, Guy Fawkes is betrayed and arrested in an attempt to blow up the British Parliament in the "Gunpowder Plot." Ever since, England has celebrated Guy Fawkes Day.
AD 1914, France and Great Britain declare war on Turkey. And we should have finished the job in '18!!
