This is sickmaking! But, read the quotes from the judge who approved this abomination. This is democracy at work! When I was in high school, more years ago than I care to mention (oh that's right. I post my age in my sidebar! Drat!) I wrote a paper on the evils of democracy. I was not yet a Catholic, let alone an EvilTrad, just a reasonably intelligent protestant American. Democracy is, of its essence, evil. It panders to the lowest common denominator and it opens the way to every vice and perversion because it would be "undemocratic" to prevent perverts from attempting to spread their vice. I argued that, in a democratic state, the people could "legalise" murder, little realising that in the '70's this would be done by one of the most anti-democratic bodies on the face of the earth, the Supreme Court of the United States and without knowing that one of its earlier members, Associate Justice, the "Honorable" (for what?) Oliver Wendell Holmes had stated that the law against murder was simply a municipal ordinance which could be repealed by the will of the people.
And in retrospect, I am much surprised that an honest teacher gave me an "A" on the paper, commenting that I was obviously thinking!
