St Francis Borgia, Confessor: St Francis Borgia, one of the most honored nobles of Spain, cut himself off from the chance of dignity or preferment, and entered the Society of Jesus, of which he later became the General. Conspicuous for the holiness of his life, he ended his days in Rome, October 10, 1572.
