Sta Teresa de Avila

Today is the XIXth Sunday after Pentecost. If it were not, the Feast celebrated today would be that of Sta Teresa de Jesus or St Theresa of Avila, Foundress of the Discalced Carmelites.

At Avila in Spain, the virgin St. Teresa, mother and mistress of the Brothers and Sisters of the Carmelite Order of the Strict Observance.
